Alt Fiction Workshop

21 February 2012 No Comment

On the 14th and 15th of April the Writing East Midlands genre fiction festival Alt.Fiction is coming to Leicester Phoenix.

As part of this event Fruit Bruise Press have teamed up with WEM to offer the first in a series of workshops working with emergent and excluded writers to develop them and create an anthology.
The workshop ‘Jumping Boundaries and Breaking Rules’ is exactly the sort of project we want to expand on in future years. We are delighted to also be able to offer, thanks to Leicester Libraries, two weekend tickets for eligible writers.
‘Fruit Bruise Press is committed to working with emergent and excluded writers who take risks with their writing and would benefit from long-term editorial support they may not be able to receive elsewhere. You are eligible to apply for the programme if:
1. you have no significant history of publication and/or are over 18 but under 30 years old;
OR
2. you fall into an underrepresented or excluded demographic in traditional publishing terms (e.g., you are ethnic minority, LGBTQ, at risk of social exclusion), and/or you are typically under-served by opportunities offered to the mainstream writing community.’
Workshop Date: April 14, 2012

Start Time: 4:00 pm

End Time: 5:00 pm

Email: alt.fiction@writingeastmidlands.co.uk
